ONSET: Stay of Execution, the fourth and final book in the ONSET series by Glynn Stewart, is now out on Amazon.
The Vampire War is over.
The United States is reeling.
The Masquerade is fragmenting.
The Apocalypse is here…
The long and bloody war with the vampires in the United States has finally ended, thanks to the efforts of the vampire Arbiter and ONSET Commander David White—and a nuclear explosion on American soil.
The final battle proves harder to conceal than hoped, however, and a series of high profile incidents end any chance of hiding the supernatural. Suddenly the world is faced with the fact that it is both more wonderful and more terrible than humanity ever realized.
But as the US Government struggles to adapt to this new reality, old enemies have set into motion plans that could render humanity’s struggles irrelevant. There are those beyond the Seal who were once Gods…and they want their planet back!
Greg Wirtala says
Why is ONSET ending?
Glynn Stewart says
Lack of sales. The original plan was another 2-3 episodic adventure stories at least before the apocalyptic endgame, but the third book sold so poorly I couldn’t justify continuing the series beyond a single wrap-up book.
Which I personally find to be a pity.
I liked this series and would have liked more books in it…
Ah, well, if it doesn’t sell there isn’t much one can do
At least I got a sort-of ending, so there is that!
Zachary DeCristofaro says
Will the other books go to audio? I loved the first Onset book!!
Glynn Stewart says
Timeline is still up in the air, but yes. All three remaining books are coming to audio.
I’m sorry to hear the series didn’t sell well enough to justify continuing it. I really enjoyed the first 3 books, and have eagerly awaited the 4th.
Riley Pierce says
Is there any possibility for more ONSET universe books in the future, or is that unlikely given what you said about book 3’s sales?
Kate Larking says
There is an ONSET novella in the story collection Spaceships & Spellcasters, available exclusively to Amazon (paperback coming soon).
However, unless ONSET does significantly better now that it is going wide to all retailers, there is unlikely to be additional books in the series.
Thanks for your support!

That’s sad I really love ONSET. Thanks for a great read.
I am sorry as well. I really enjoyed the series. To be honest, I have liked every book I have read since discovering you. I look forward to your next book whatever it happens to be. Thanks for the entertaining hours I have had reading your books!
I just discovered and devoured the Onset series on audible. It was amazing. I hope you can revive it one day.

Just finished the ONSET series. Well done, good sir. Well done. Great pacing and characters. Getting Ray Porter to do the narration was a stroke of genius.
I think Ray really enjoyed playing Charles and David and Ix.
Hope to find them in the future.
